Smashing fish n chips!
The quality of the food here was evidenced by the length of the queue in the shop, and it was worth the wait. The batter on my cod was just the right thickness, without overwhelming the fish in the mushy sleeping bag of pulp that is so often applied in other outlets. The fish itself was fresh, succulent and tasty, and the chips a good colour, with many of them nice and crispy. The price was excellent value too. I've not seen sliced mildly pickled onions on offer as a condiment before, but tried them and found them a good addition to the chips, so I'm a convert. I was intrigued by some of the items on the menu, such as deep-fried battered haggis and black pudding, so may well opt for those next time.A great find to add to my list of good quality fast food outlets in the Whaley area.
As always, FANTASTIC the best for miles around. A varied and tasty menu, please try everything, but not together.
Food has gone down hill. Had a pasty but had to return it as it was really hard and I mean hard as nails but it was replaced with quibble but as it had been heated in the microwave it was soggy pastry
We called in for tea during our walk around the Whaley canal, the food was excellent but also decently priced, friendly staff.
